Dr. Pumphrey founded Blue River Dental in 2001 with one clear goal: to bring compassionate, efficient dentistry to the Shelbyville community she loves. Originally from Greensburg, Indiana, she earned her BS in Nutrition Science from Purdue University and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Indiana University. She’s an active member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health, and regularly participates in professional study clubs to stay ahead of the latest advancements in care.

Outside the office, Dr. Pumphrey is dedicated to giving back through local organizations such as Girls Inc., SCUFFY, and the Major Hospital Foundation. She and her husband, George, are proud parents of two boys, Luca and Alek, and enjoy spending their free time outdoors and exploring new places together.
